Sperger - Cassation in E-flat major for Viola, Double Bass, and 2 Horns, M.C. III:29 (Urtext) - Score and Parts
Sperger - Cassation in E-flat major for Viola, Double Bass, and 2 Horns (M.C. III:29), Urtext edition. Full score and parts for Viola, Double Bass, and Horns I & II in E-flat.
This cassation from Sperger is made from the manuscript located in Schwerin (Mus 5188/7). Like the D major cassation for the same instrumentation, this work contains 5 movements and is a lovely addition to the 18th-century repertoire for viola and double bass, who both have melodic roles throughout. The double bass part in this work is for Viennese tuning, but tuned one half-step higher. The individual double bass has been notated in D major to accomondate for this tuning. If horn parts are needed in different transpositions, please contact me for parts in different keys.
