Dittersdorf - Sinfonia Concertante for Viola, Double Bass, and Orchestra (Urtext), Score and Parts

$58.00

Dittersdorf - Sinfonia Concertante for Viola, Double Bass, and Orchestra, Urtext edition. Full score, solo parts, and orchestra parts (Oboes I & II, Horns I & II in D, Violins I & II, Viola, Cello/Bass).

Dittersdorf’s Sinfonia Concertante for Viola, Double Bass, and Orchestra is now available in an Urtext edition prepared from the manuscript in Schwerin (Mus 1685 A). While the work has been recorded a number of times, many performances and editions of this piece have made changes that depart from the original score. This edition avoids any editorial changes by following what is found in the manuscript.

Unfortunately, while Dittersdorf had intended to include parts for 2 horns, their parts have not survived. I’ve included horn parts that follow the oboe lines to recreate these parts in two horn parts in D. If horn parts are needed in different transpositions, please contact me for parts in different keys.
